Updates from March 8th

Thank you to Jim & Julie for hosting this week. March 15 will be hosted by Mike & Donna. The big kids will be at Peter's and little kids at VanZee's.

A quote from this weeks lesson:
"Solving difficult problems is literally loosening of knots." Think about how this applies to your life.

This is a busy week and Satan wants us to be too busy to study God's word. Make time to study the lesson this week. Take time to pray.

Prayer requests:
  • Audrey
  • Jerry Kerns and family
  • Stacy's co-worker (Maggie)
  • Economy and people are being laid off
  • Praise for Mike and Donna's flight that landed safely
  • Keep Alicia and Cindy in your prayers as they are on a cruise
  • The Pastor that was shot in Maryville, MO
  • Leighton Family
  • Our community and school
  • Mike's son, Adam
  • Tess as she will be moving
  • Girl's basketball team at State A's
  • Safe travel for State A's

Note: I mentioned that Donna wanted to have a party for Mike on the 15th. That is not working out at this time.

Wrapped in the Dreams of Angels

I am excited to let you know that "Wrapped in the Dreams of Angels" is a newly formed organization in Dell Rapids. This group is a sub-group of "The Mother's Healing Garden".

The purpose of the organization is to provide support to people in our community and surrounding areas that are experiencing troubled times. The organization is making tie blankets to give to individuals. One side of the blanket is "Cardinal" fabric. The Cardinal is the sign that "God has blessed the day". The blanket is the representation of God's love and human love being wrapped around those that are experiencing trouble in their lives.

The organization will provide a blanket to families that have lost a child or spouse. Blankets can be purchases for $15.00 each by anyone in the community and presented to individuals that need support and prayer. For example: an individual that is fighting cancer, someone that is going through a divorce, someone that is faced with financial challenges, etc.

The key to the blanket is to remind people that they are not alone in troubled times. As a Christian Community we are here to support, talk, pray and help each other, but most important God is always there. Reasons for requesting a WDA Blanket are not discussed in order to maintain privacy. The purpose is to provide support by going directly to the person in need.

The Leighton's were the first family to be presented with a WDA Blanket.

I can not wait to tell you more on Sunday evening!

Blessings
Robin
