1. Tell us about your family. Kids names, where they live, spouses and grandchildren.

Oldest daughter Karla and Ben Gruis - grandchildren Brett, Kade, Braden
Live in Dell Rapids, Karla teaches 3rd grade and Ben works at Troy's Woodworking

Oldest son Kevin and wife Jen - Live in Iowa City
Kevin teaches P.E. K-8 and coaches while Jen has her medical degree, and is specializing in neurology
(She has two years left to complete it)

Son Kraig and wife Kelli - Live in Fairmont, Minnesota
Kraig is a chemist for an ethanol plant and Kelli teaches middle school English in Fairmont

Daughter Katie and fiance Tim - They will be getting married June 13th, 2009
Katie is a Junior at Augustana in elementary education, and Tim is at USF, history major in education

3. How did you meet? How many years have your been married?
We were high school sweethearts and have been married for 35 years this past summer.

4. Tell us about your jobs.

a. Glen - An admissions counselor at Minnesota West Community and Technical College
b. Linda - data specialist at Avera McKennan Hospice in Sioux Falls

5. What is your favorite thing about Dell Rapids?
Getting to have the opportunity to spend time with our
grandchildren is our favorite. We both enjoy attending and taking part in activities at the Reformed Church.

6. What is your favorite Bible Verse?

Glen - 2 Corinthians 4:16 - Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though
our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

Linda - Philippians 4:13- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

8. Little know fact about you?

Glen taught band and vocal music for 10 years. He grew up on a farm,
he has two brothers and one sister.

Linda worked 24 years at Osceola Community Health Services in Sibley as administrative secretary. She has three sisters. My parents are 85 years old and live by Little Rock.

Glen and Linda both served at different times on the Little Rock School Board.
